About 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator
Despite the name of 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator, it’s actually not even a game about parking, but instead one that focuses mostly on obstacle course-like races. Of course, you have to park in the very end of each of the 75 levels, but this takes up only a tiny part of the gameplay. So if you came to this game with the intention of finding parking simulation gameplay, then you might not be that happy about this. Otherwise, for those who are still curious, I will tell you some more about what to expect.
First things first, even though this is a game that has 75 different levels, these can’t be completed with any car. Instead, each of the 15 cars that you will be able to unlock in the game are related to one of the level packs that each contain 5 levels. This means that when you start with the Classic Pickup truck in the beginning, only the very first level pack will be unlocked along with it.
Don’t worry though, as once you know how to play, unlocking the rest will be easier than you would think. Probably the most important aspects of the gameplay are the controls, as in this title everything is decided upon how well you utilize them. You have the classic gas pedal and brake buttons on the right side of the screen, which are used for the basic car controls, while the two huge arrows on the left are used to steer left and right. Other than these, there is a button on the rigth that can set the car into reverse if needed. Lastly, you can even switch between six different camera views using the yellow buttons in the top right corner.
Now that you know the controls of 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator, it’s time to enter the test tracks! First you will need to pick one of your already unlocked cars, then enter any of the five levels in the car’s level pack. In each of the levels your goal will be to move through each green checkpoint in order, then reach the parking zone at the end of the obstacle course without crashing into anything. This doesn’t just mean driving headfirst into something at high speed, but even if you get caught up on the walls or other obstacles with your car, it means failure.
Because of this balancing how fast you go is crucial, as otherwise you might end up having to replay the whole level upon crashing. This is definitely a tough thing to manage, as there will be bumps, logs, mud paths, rivers, rock formations and manmade obstacles all around the test tracks to hinder your progress. As you get better cars the levels will also get longer and harder to complete, just to keep the challenge rating up.
When you finally finish a level in 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator, depending on how fast you did it the game will reward you with a bronze, silver or gold medal, as well as some coins based on the type of medal. After this you can either continue right from this same screen to the next level without interruptions, or decide to check the Garage.
In the Garage you will find the 15 vehicles currently available in the game. Unlocking any of these is very simple, as all you have to do is get enough currency to pay their cost, which ranges between 500 and 75,000 coins. As you move from left to right in the list, the cars will get more expensive, but they will handle better and be generally faster as well. You can find vehicles such as the Sports 4×4, Raid Truck, Stretched Van, Rally Evolution and even the legendary Monster Truck.
To speed up the car unlock process, there are quite a few in-app purchases found in 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator. Starting with the coin packs, paying $1.99 will get you 9,200 coins, while going with the biggest pack will cost you $19.99 for 260,000 coins. Interestingly enough, the game also offers the ability to unlock a few different game modes and extras in exchange for real money.
These modes include Easy Mode, Fun Mode and Invincible Mode for $12.99 each, or a combination of the three for $29.99. Easy Mode makes cars smaller, gives you more time and a second life, Fun Mode just adds more time and a second life, while Invincible Mode makes it impossible to crash the car and allows you to rewind time. Alternatively, you can unlock the Time Rewind ability in Normal Mode for $17.99, or disable all popup ads for $1.99.
Cheats & Tips for 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator
Coins are in focus throughout 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator, as unlocking new cars is very important to be able to progress in the game. For this reason there are quite a few interesting cheats that could help you reach your ingame goals faster. If you want some of these currency cheats or gameplay tips and tricks, then just read on below!
One of the easiest cheats to take advantage of in the game is the option to double your earned coins at the end of any level. To activate this just tap the “Double Your Reward!” button, watch a short video ad, then the game will reward you with the coins right away. If you manage to receive gold on a level, it’s obviously worth it to double the amount, as this can speed up your car unlock process by a lot.
A similarly useful cheat in 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator is the ability to claim 50 coins in exchange for watching a video ad in the Shop menu. You can repeat this any number of times, but sometimes this button will change into a 100 or 200 coins button. When this happens, you should definitely use it, as earning 100 or 200 coins in less than 20 seconds is always worth it!
Now, for more serious gameplay cheats, the following one will let you finish levels that were meant to be failed. In case you crash into something, the game will ask you whether you want to watch an ad to use Time Rewind for free. If you say yes and watch the ad, you will be able to rewind time for as long as you want, setting the car in a position where it hasn’t crashed yet. Once you set the position and the game resumed, your vehicle will even have crash immunity for around five seconds. This can be used any number of times during the game, but you will have to watch an ad for each use of it.
As for a useful 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator tip, you should always take turns slow and pay attention to where the next green glow is on the map. Missing a checkpoint means that you won’t be able to finish the level before going back to it. Going slower and following the correct direction is very important, even when you are on a level where there are multiple possible directions to go. In this case try to change the camera to the on-hood view, it will help you get around easier.
4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator Review
Among the many parking simulation games on mobile, a 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator is something I didn’t expect to see. The whole idea of a game based around offroad parking sounds a bit weird, but fortunately this is not what the game is all about. Despite the confusing title, this is more of a racing or obstacle course game. I didn’t know this when I first started playing, but I’m glad it turned out this way!
The main reason for this is that the game plays out in an arcade style, meaning that the cars can speed up without much trouble in a few seconds, taking turns is rather fast and the whole control scheme just feels easy to use. There are no unneccesary additions such as turn signals or various unwanted gear modes. For someone who expected a full-on parking simulation game, this will be somewhat disappointing, no doubt about that.
Personally, I actually enjoyed the core gameplay of levels that feel very risky, as crashing even lightly into obstacles caused failure. Because of this I kept on trying to be as careful as possible at all times, as going a bit too crazy often caused crashes. After getting the hang of a steady pace, I felt more confident in my skills to complete these obstacle courses. That is until I unlocked more and more new cars, as each of them had different speed limits and handling.
This is a strong point of 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator, as thanks to the various cars the level packs actually feel different, even though visually they are very much the same. The huge difference between the handling of each vehicle added a lot to the experience. For example, controlling a huge truck was slow and it couldn’t take turns as fast as the rest of the vehicles, while a small sports car had no trouble going three time as fast as the truck, while taking turns easily with some practice.
With these things in mind, the game is not perfect. One of the biggest issues I found was the fact that crashes tend to become rather frustrating after a while. The ability to rewind time after watching an ad is extremely useful, and the Rewind Time power feels like something that should have been included for free, as it just changes things up in a big way. The problem is that watching an ad for each crash feels like a huge waste of time, and after doing this for the 20th time in a row, I already felt bored of it.
Another thing I disliked in 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator was that the different game modes all required activating rather costy in-app purchases. I would have liked to try these out one by one, but sadly there isn’t even a way to take a trial before buying. The costy nature of things continues with the cars, as they just have huge leaps in cost one after another. This is less of a problem though, as doubling the gold medal coins will award close to enough.
All in all, 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator is a racing game with a deceptive title, yet with fairly enjoyable gameplay. That is until you crash into tiny bumps on the road for the 20th time, having to either restart the level from the beginning or being forced to watch an ad to continue. If you are a very patient player, then you will definitely have fun with this title, but be careful about these issues otherwise.
4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator Ratings
Artwork: The artwork in 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator gets a rating of 7/10. While some of the map elements and obstacles are lower resolution than the rest of the game, it looks pretty good on the highest graphics settings. Being able to set it to low and medium is very positive though, as it remains playable even on low-end devices.
Music & SFX: As for the SFX of this title, I give it a 3/10. Unfortunately, there is no music present in the game, while the SFX are not too amazing either. Most of the sounds feel repetitive and “stiff”.
Story & Originality: I give the originality of 4×4 Offroad Parking Simulator a 6/10. Even though the core gameplay mechanics and the idea of having an obstacle course racing game is not bad, it’s also not the most unique. Bonus points for the rewind mechanic, just wish it was freely available instead of being put behind a pay and adwall.
General Gameplay: The general gameplay deserves a 5/10. I really wanted to give this a higher rating, but unfortunately I just can’t really do it. The repetitive nature of crashing and having to restart or keep watching more than 30 ads in an hour is just ridiculous, especially once you reach the longer levels. If the levels would have actual working checkpoints, it would change everything for the better.
Addictiveness: The addictiveness level of this title gets a 5/10 from me. The 75 basic levels that the game offers can keep it entertaining for a few hours, given that you still didn’t give up thanks to the frustrating nature of the level restarts. If you were to pay real money for the Time Rewind function, then this will instantly become a much more addictive game, but is it really worth that much for 75 levels only?
Overall Score: 5/10.
